🌱 Marfell Community Garden: latest news from the MāraKia ora whānau, October has been a MASSIVE month for Marfell Community Garden! We were blessed with many helpful hands where they were needed most, and in turn, the māra was able to support the unique needs and goals of each group The māra proved an ideal venue for a local school holiday camp, The Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program, looking for ways to support their community in the spirit of service - they helped to plant many seedlings and transported loads of materials around the garden The Pukekura Scout Group arrived in full force one evening, and planted about 100 more seedlings, whilst clearing weeds and transporting compost and mulch - Not only were they earning their Kai Badge, every Cub was beyond excited to leave the māra with armfuls of hand-picked veggies in return.
