Our Pātaka Kai / Sharing Shelf at St Mary's Community Garden - Hawera is our conduit for sharing kai with the community. πŸ’š

Ngati Ruanui 2NuiCODE tamariki have regular working bees at the garden and recently began promoting the pātaka kai with artwork to illustrate to passers-by to help themselves to available produce from the garden in the pātaka. Home growers also donate produce to keep our community nourished with fresh vegetables. πŸ₯¬

Michelle from Goldbush Micro Farm grows and sells high-quality fresh vegetables for Taranaki locals; recently she has come on board to deliver excess produce, typically on a Wednesday, to the sharing shelf, ka rawe!
