Te Ara Taiao won the Action in Education Award at the 2025 Taranaki Regional Council Environment Awards! 🌿

Aroha & acknowledgement to the taiao kaimahi we’ve collaborated with, funders, mana whenua, team members past & present who put our tamariki and taiao kaupapa first.

Thank you to the team of kairuruku for your hard mahi; Carman Amai, Cherry Smith, Chelsea Crewe and Jane Bowden-Dobson.

Acknowledgement to previous Kaiwhakahaere Tāne Manukonga for his mahi over 5 years growing the kaupapa.

➡️ Bring your excess stationery (new or used) to a yellow bin near you (drop-off locations listed below). Volunteers will clean, pack and redistribute in January.

🤯 520 litres of rubbish collected in Waitara on Saturday morning! Awesome mahi in only 1.5h with 12 amazing volunteers! 💚 Ngā mihi team! And 27% of the rubbish was sorted on-site and diverted from landfill (glass & recycling). ♻️
