🌿 Te Ara Taiao latest updates for Term 1

Mīharo! 🌱 Te Ara Taiao has been doing hands-on mahi with some of our Ngā Manu Pīkoko 🐦 (Taiao leaders in our schools).

Giving support at hapū and community programs, pest control and identifying, seed sourcing and propagating native rākau in kura. Term 2 brings even more kura that we will be working alongside! 🚸

Kura involved in Term 1: Coastal Taranaki School, Devon Intermediate, Fitzroy School, Ōmata School, Rāhotu School, Waitoriki School.

🌱 Green Loop: working bee, compost trials & the road to richer soil

April has been a dynamic month at the Green Loop pilot site at Eudaimonia. From volunteer support and build progress, to advancements on the science side, all aspects of the project have been moving forward together. Catch up on the latest updates here. 👀

🌏 Another successful Zero Waste Workshop Series!

Throughout March and April, the Junction Zero Waste Hub held its second annual Autumn Workshop Series.  This year, eight waste minimisation-focused workshops were held at the Brooklands Envirohub (next to the Zoo) in Pukekura Park. 🌿

The education team partnered with local individuals and organisations to offer a range of experiences that helped people to rethink, reduce, and reuse waste materials. 💡♻️

This Monday 10am join the fun family-friendly ride promoting cycling as a sustainable means of transport for all of Aotearoa to enjoy.
Meet at the Waiwhakaiho River mouth (next to The Little Easy Cafe Container). Bikes don't have to be orange! 🚲

Registration is free! Only registrants will be eligible for prizes and giveaways on the day.
