🦸 Volunteer with us at the Kapa Haka Regionals!

We are partnering with Te Kāhui Maunga to reduce waste at the Kapa Haka Regionals, on Sat. 7 March at Clifton Park, Waitara. 🎉

Join us as a waste station volunteer! ♻️ You'll get free entry to watch teams compete for a place at Te Matatini 2027, a t-shirt and kai.

🌻 Sustainable Trails 2026:
Could you be a host?

Come along to our 2026 Summer Trail to talk with past and present hosts in their gardens about being a part of the kaupapa.

Ask questions, pick up ideas, talk about why it's great (as well as the commitment), to see if being a backyard, build or farm host is right for you.

This Summer Trail is exclusively for previous and potential hosts from across all three Trails (not the general public).

No pressure to join as a host next year, but we'll take your details and keep you on the radar.

We'll be visiting several backyards (maybe a farm or build) from the 2025 Sustainable Trails. Dates TBC but aiming for end of Feb/start of March.

🌿 Nature Cleanup at Ōākura Beach this Saturday!

Join us at Ōākura Beach this Saturday 10am! ALL WELCOME! 🏖

We'll do our best to clean this beautiful location, and as usual, we will sort all the rubbish on-site. ♻

🧤 BYO gloves & buckets if possible. Scones provided by L'Epicure Catering 💚 More details below ⤵

🎥 Construction Waste: our issue and one local solution!

Did you know that the Junction Reuse Shop accepts construction leftovers, quality materials from deconstruction/demolition projects, and good timber, offering these resources for free or resale?

This model not only diverts waste but also encourages a circular economy approach. 🔄 Shopping or donating: get in touch with the Junction! They’ve just opened their new shop, still on Colson Rd!

🌱 Green Loop in photos!

Since September 2025, our team has already diverted 4,425 kg of food waste from landfill, and there are now 6 tons of beautiful compost locally "cooking" right now! 😍
