Taranaki Landgirls: Fruit Tree Pruning

  • Kahu Glen 175 Paraite Road Paraite, Taranaki, 4373 New Zealand (map)

Fruit tree pruning is a topic that many of you have expressed an interest in, so we hope you can make it to the July event on Sunday 17 July. It will be hosted by Melissa Burleigh and Matt Lowe at their orchard, Kahu Glen, 175 Paraite Rd, Bell Block, and run by ex-owners Linda & Trevor Swan who have 40+ years in the feijoa industry.

As well as learning about pruning feijoas, we'll also discuss how these techniques can be transferred to other fruit trees. We have plenty of trees to practice on - this will be a practical workshop.

See attached flyer for details. Numbers may be limited so it is advisable to reserve a spot.

Contact Shonagh Hopkirk for details or to reserve a place at the workshop. Email shopkirk@gmail.com or Ph (06) 752-0889

Our August event, tentatively set for the evening of Thursday 25 August, will be an introduction to beekeeping. Details to be confirmed closer to the date.
