Bees are an integral part of our horticultural landscape, pollinating pasture and many food crops – we would truly be lost without them! There has been an upswing in amateur beekeeping in the last few years. Come along and start learning how to become a beekeeper with one or more hives of your own - getting started, how to look after the bees, etc. For those who don't want hives but do want to encourage bees to your garden/orchard, we'll also be looking at how to make your place attractive to bees. Our speakers bring a wealth of knowledge, with over 100 years’ bee keeping experience between them.

Ray Scott – Attracting Bees to Your Garden
