Introductory/trial Earth building event in Whanganui Saturday 12 th May 9.30 for 10am Start to 4-5pm finish With Graham North (renown earth architect/chair of earth building association)

At Putiki Native Reserve (Riri a te hori 2)top gate Hewitts Road , there will also be a few other interesting earthy characters attending from Auckland, Ruatoria and hawkes bay. Too many to list ... all crazy in love with natural earth building !!

What can you expect? an informal, friendly, fun and constructive gathering showcasing a functional and 'real

& rustic' natural house prototype whare/house being built on the reserve, learning discussions Q & A, about earth building, make new friends, combined with hands-on play with clay time, to experience the light earth straw building technique.

What to bring ? Warm/clay clothes, gloves, old footwear/gumboots, drink bottle...appetite for fun & kai !!

Tea/coffee and light lunch provided.

Sunday 13th is also an option it will be relaxed and mostly practical hands-on clay infilling the build no set programme bring a plate for lunch or koha $20 cover food !! Still opportunity to mix and mingle, as above please confirm.
