A Big Win for the Trust in South Taranaki

Kati Freeman

General Manager, Kati Freeman, scores a big win in South Taranaki, as she helped the Taranaki Environmental Education Trust to gain financial support from council as a means to extend environmental workshops in this region. Not to mention rates were not increased to the anticipated amount, while positive sustainable efforts are still being supported.

The council reduces the anticipated rate increases for the new financial year, while also doing the things needed to progress a vibrant and prosperous district stated the Mayor, Ross Dunlop.

The Sustainable Living Programme received $3,125 in grants towards workshops that will cover various topics such as composting, creating warmer homes and gardening to help people to live more sustainably, save money and stay healthy.
