While staying at kids Nana and Grandads house just out of Opunake we always go across the paddock and down the track to Mangahume and Sky Williams surf breaks. We love exploring the beach and finding treasures. However, this time we decided to do a beach clean up and we were not impressed with the amount of plastic rubbish we picked up in such a beautiful spot. The cousins ranging in age from 3 to 11 feel proud that we left one of our favourite spots in a better condition than when we arrived!

The Parininihi Reserve "Whitecliffs" Walkway
Our tiana is of The Parininihi Reserve "Whitecliffs" Walkway.
This is a different view from our neighbours farm compared to from our deck.
But as a family we do walkways to check the traps and reset them from any stoats, rats caught so our Kokako have a much safer home.
