The Sustainable Taranaki Workshop Series helps to bring about change with sustainable living themes aimed at engaging the wider community. The workshops are always interactive, fun, informative and are woven with friendly discussions and hands-on learning.

2018's first series of workshops included eco-building, permaculture, native trees, and urban vege gardening. The autumn series included beekeeping and making jams and chutneys followed by warm homes and soap making.

With workshops selling out fast, we hope you will be quick in this unique opportunity to learn from local experts in a hands-on environment and taking part in discussions that help us as a community live more sustainable, affordable and healthy lifestyles.

What workshops would you like to see offered? Let us know your ideas by emailing and register your interest to be among the first to know when new workshops are released.

We want learning around sustainable living to be accessible to all Taranaki residents. In 2018 we are offering a number of discounted tickets for each Workshop for those who need help to attend due to financial hardship.

If you or someone you know would really like to attend a Sustainable Taranaki Workshop but face a financial barrier to buying a full-priced ticket, please email us on and, if a place is still remaining, we will send a promo code for a ticket purchase via our website.

Booking Instructions:  Buying tickets directly through our website is the easiest and fastest way to secure your space on our workshops; however, if you would like to pay by direct debit please click here for instructions.  Once your purchase has been processed, you will receive a confirmation invoice followed by an email from Erin, the workshop coordinator. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email

As your Program Coordinator, I'm busy collating ideas, hunting out our region's sustainable gurus, and organising venues. We are a charity organisation, and all workshops are run at cost.  If you think you or your business could help by facilitating a workshop, providing a venue, or donating money, goods or services, it would be very much appreciated!
