Nature Cleanup at Paritūtū Reserve on Thursday 5 March 10am (it is fine to be late!) for the 2026 Seaweek!
Come and help us clean the beautiful Paritūtū Reserve (Centennial Park), Back Beach and surroundings!
This event is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome!
ALL WELCOME! You do NOT need to be “fit” or stay for the full 1.5 hours. Any help is MUCH APPRECIATED!
10am (or later) - Meet us at the main carpark, top of the dune for a kōrero - briefing. Look for the Sustainable Taranaki flag! - Here on GoogleMaps.
BYO gloves and buckets if possible, but we'll provide some if needed!
11.30am (or earlier) - Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (we will separate all items to divert as much as we can from the landfill)
No RSVP required! Just show up!
The aim of this event is:
- to clean this location the best we can
- to divert trash from the landfill
- to engage and educate our community about waste and recycling
- to create a fun and meaningful event for families to connect with the environment and take action towards bettering sustainability/conservation
