Nature Cleanup at Waitara Beach, Otupaiia Marine Park and along the Waitara River on Saturday 25 July 10am (it is fine to be late!) - 12pm!

This event is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome!
ALL WELCOME! You do NOT need to be “fit” or stay for the full 2 hours. Any help is MUCH APPRECIATED!
10am (or later) - Meet us at the Picnic tables along the Waitara River for a kōrero - briefing. Look for the Sustainable Taranaki flag! - See the location here on Google Maps.
BYO gloves & buckets if possible, but we'll provide some if needed!
12pm (or earlier) - Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (we will separate all items to divert as much as we can from the landfill) + PIZZAS thanks to Pizza Magic Spotswood!
No RSVP required! Just show up!
The aim of this event is:
- to clean this location the best we can
- to divert trash from the landfill
- to engage and educate our community about waste and recycling
- to create a fun and meaningful event for families to connect with the environment and take action towards bettering sustainability/conservation
