Come along to learn all about seed saving!
Seedsavers Spring and Summer Gathering
Sunday November 23rd 1.30pm to 4.30pm
Jayne and Steve’s Garden
1315, Richmond Road
Inglewood RD9
We moved to our property in 2012. Our garden is one and a half acres and has evolved over the years since we have lived here.
We have added many fruit trees and native trees also a large vegetable garden that is on a hillside and has been designed with the flow of the gradient.
The majority of material used in our garden has been upcycled and recycled.
The majority of vegetables that are grown are open pollinated, and can be saved to be used the following year and to be added to the Seedsavers seed bank.
Many flowers, natives and herbs pop up in many different places each year and are left freely to grow, reseeding year after year.
Please bring afternoon tea. The Seedsavers seed bank will be at the gathering to swap seeds Please bring along seed to swap any seed you may. Heritage seed is appreciated, this being seed seed that has not crossed with another variety of the same species. If you are not sure that this may have happened. Please bring any seed you may have. A koha is appreciated.
There will sieves where we can clean seed together.
