We will be sorting and packaging Spring/Summer seed to add to the seed banks around the mounga.
We can chat about seed saving and answer any questions you may have while we are doing various tasks like putting seed in envelopes.
If you have your own seed you would like to contribute to the seedbanks that is really helpful. If you have any seed that needs to be cleaned, bring a sieve from home and that can be done too.
If you do bring seed it would be helpful to know the seed history, i.e where originally purchased, how long you have been growing it and, if you have it, the botanical name too. This will help us to decide if it is open pollinated seed and also which section of the seed bank is most appropriate for it. If you don't have this information, no problem, the seed is still valuable.
All who help are welcome to take home a couple of packets of open pollinated seeds to grow, save seed and return some back to to the seed bank.
