The Junction
The Junction offers educational tours, workshops, and online resources, and the Reuse Shop enables donated items to be repurposed and resold.
We host recycling tours to inspire people to protect our region’s unique taiao – natural environment. A variety of workshops support a collaborative goal with the New Plymouth District Council of making Taranaki a zero-waste region.

GROWMEEZ, Communal Gardens
Where gardens grow and friendships flourish
GROWMEEZ brings small groups of people together to grow healthy, spray-free food on under-utilised private land. It’s about more than gardening — it’s about learning, sharing, harvesting, and building genuine connections with like-minded people in your local community.

Taranaki Nature Cleanups
We are building a social enterprise that runs cleanups for volunteers in conjunction with organisations and businesses. Our mission is to empower local groups and hapū, raise awareness about the environmental impact of waste, and build a stronger, more connected community.
Green Loop
Our mission is to divert commercial food waste from landfills to local farms and turn it into nutrient-dense, carbon-sequestering compost at no cost to farmers.

2025 Taranaki Sustainable Trails
Aotearoa’s longest running sustainable garden trail!
2025 was the 11th years of the Taranaki Sustainable Trails with 42 open properties and over 50 events, designed to spark curiosity, connection, and action.

Zero Waste Events
The Zero Waste programme is working with the community, businesses and councils around Taranaki to help reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill.
Te Ara Taiao
Te Ara Taiao aims to enhance connections between schools, hapū and community so that students can get involved alongside others and develop environmental leadership to enhance the mauri and ecology of the Whenua, Awa and Moana.
