GROWMEEZ - Communal Gardens
Where gardens grow and friendships flourish. 🌱
GROWMEEZ brings small groups of people together to grow healthy, spray-free food on under-utilised private land. It’s about more than gardening — it’s about learning, sharing, harvesting, and building genuine connections with like-minded people in your local community.
This model is perfect for those who want to grow their own food but may lack the space, time, confidence, or knowledge — or who simply enjoy gardening more when it’s done together.
How GROWMEEZ Works
A residential garden that needs some care and attention is identified.
A small, closed group of around 7–8 local participants is formed (not open to the general public).
The group meets once a week for 1–2 hours, on the same day and time each week.
Members work together to grow and maintain the garden in a relaxed, supportive environment.
All produce is shared among participants each week.
Guidance and mentorship are provided by the GROWMEEZ coordinator, Shari, helping participants build skills and confidence over time.
Each participant contributes a small weekly fee of $7, which goes toward garden costs such as seeds, soil improvements, and tools.
