Seedsavers Autumn/Winter Gathering
Bernie and Alf have been living at their home for 25 years.
Bernie has been saving seed for many years, long before they retired at their current home.
They have been in the Taranaki Fringe Festival for 20 years.
During the years of being in the Fringe Festival Bernie and Alf have packaged thousands of packets of seeds, to give to visitors, garden shows and when doing promotional events.
They also packaged thousands packets of seeds and sent to the victims of the cyclone at Esk Valley
About the event:
Please bring along afternoon tea for all to share. The Seedsavers seed bank will be there, for seed to swapped using the seed bank and with each other. The more seed to be swapped ensures that the Seedsavers seedbank can continue with lots of seed available to all seed savers around the mounga. If you are not sure if your seed is heritage seed, whereby you are not sure if this seed had cross pollinated please do bring that along too. More will be discussed about this on the day.
A koha is also very much appreciated for Seedsavers.
Please bring along a sieve from home to clean seed, Seedsavers will bring sieves too.
There will be moon calendars, and a Seed Sowing, Planting and Harvesting Guide, for sale both are $10 each paid with cash.
