September Sustainable Business Champion - Natural Technologies Ltd.

We chose Natural Technologies Ltd as our Sustainable Business Champion this month for their local, quality, and tailored solar panel, wind, and hydro energy installations provided to Taranaki residents. Founder, Dan Le Breton, takes pride in his trade and demystifying the renewable energy options for homeowners.

Our Mission is to unleash innovation and support thriving communities on the continual improvement journey.

Founders, Dan and Sarah Le Breton live in New Plymouth with their 5 beautiful children Olivia 9, Jack 8, Thomas 5, Grace 4, and newly born Lilly. Their life has taken them around Australasia and helped them realise that the local mountain and coastal township of New Plymouth have far more to offer than any other place.

They admit that in Perth they would spend 30 minutes driving to the beach with the air conditioning on full, and on return, would be just as hot as before going. On returning to New Plymouth, they have made a calculated choice in choosing the location of their forever home as it lies between the local school and kindergarten, is close to parks, beaches, and rivers. This significantly reduces their family’s carbon footprint.

Having grown up in Taranaki, they ensure their kids enjoy the same simple childhood opportunities to learn and grow - by walking, biking or scootering to school, they are part of the development of their kiwi backyard, gardens and trees.

Local, Grassroots, Knowledgeable, and Ethical

Dan and Sarah set their sights on creating Natural Technologies which is a grassroots organisation built to assist people in improving productivity in everyday life, through utilising effective technology that harnesses nature’s forces for good.

Experience from the America’s, Europe, Asia, and Australasia has provided an understanding of the challenges facing communities, and Natural Technologies’ mission is to provide creditable information and technologies to end-users. With a tribe of kids tagging along, the vision is to create a path for them and our communities to be self-sufficient, productive and to grow the most from each day.

An Integrated Approach

The team’s depth of knowledge extends beyond energy production. With their partners from Premier Heating, they provide an integrated team with expert building and design skillsets.

If you are thinking about solar, wind, or hydro energy for your home or backyard, Natural Technologies has the expertise to assist.  Natural Technologies is also a Backyard Blitzer sponsor of this year’s Taranaki Sustainable Backyards Trail.

Solar is the next step for many households and is part of what the planet is demanding of us - to rely on a truly renewable energy source. So why aren’t more of us adopting it?
